Terms of Service

Naazhigai ("the Service", "we", "us") delivers a daily Tamil calendar and Thirukkural over WhatsApp. By messaging SUBSCRIBE to our WhatsApp number, you agree to receive a recurring WhatsApp message from us — your daily Tamil calendar and Thirukkural card, sent automatically each morning (Tier 2) or in reply to your own message (Tier 1) — and to these terms. You can stop this at any time by replying STOP.

The Service

Naazhigai computes Tamil calendar data (tithi, nakshatra, yogam, karanam, rahu kalam, nalla neram, and related timings) astronomically, using Chennai as the reference location for sunrise/sunset-based calculations. This is accurate for Tamil Nadu and a close approximation elsewhere. The Service is provided for informational and devotional purposes only — it is not professional astrological, religious, medical, financial, or legal advice, and we make no guarantee about outcomes tied to any date, timing, or prediction it surfaces.

Subscription tiers & billing

Tier 1 ("On-Demand") replies with your card when you message us. Tier 2 ("Auto-Delivered") additionally pushes your card automatically every morning. Paid tiers are prepaid one year at a time — you pay once via a Cashfree Payment Link, see current pricing on our home page. There is no recurring auto-charge: we message you a renewal reminder 7 days and again 1 day before your subscription's paid period ends, each with a fresh Payment Link. If you don't renew, delivery stops automatically when the period ends — we never charge you without you actively paying a link yourself.

Cancelling

You can cancel a paid subscription at any time. Since there's no recurring charge to stop, cancelling simply ends your subscription and delivery right away, rather than waiting for the paid period to run out. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for how, and what happens to time already paid for.

Your conduct

Don't use the Service to send abusive content to us, attempt to disrupt delivery to other subscribers, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

Changes

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for decisions made based on Tamil calendar data or predictions it surfaces, or for delivery delays or failures caused by WhatsApp/Meta's platform being unavailable. This includes cases where WhatsApp itself throttles or withholds delivery of an automated Tier 2 message to a recipient it considers insufficiently engaged, under Meta's own ecosystem/delivery policies — we cannot force delivery in these cases. If a Tier 2 card doesn't arrive, texting TODAY always works as an on-demand fallback.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
